It's kneeboarding season again in the upper Midwest and The Northern Boarders Kneeboarding Team will once again be hosting a Let's Ride event. All ages and abilities are invited to come and get involved on June 17th and 18th at Auburn Lake in Victoria, Minnesota.
"Kurt Schmelzer has worked diligently to find us a great new location for this year", says Chad Beery, the team president, "The viewing is better and the lake is much deeper. So, the spectators will enjoy the show more and the riders will have better wakes."
The format that the Northern Boarders Team created has proven to be quite successful and fun. On Saturday, each participant takes several runs up and down the course while being coached by advanced riders.
On Sunday, the participants split up into teams, chosen by team captains. Then each rider takes to the water to earn points for their team. The use of a simple scoring structure ensures that even a team with less experienced riders can still take first place.
"We get all riders from just learning to jump the wake to the most extreme", says Chad, "Each rider will have the chance to take their riding to the next level and will also get to see some of the most amazing tricks performed on a kneeboard."
So, mark this Let's Ride event on your calendar and we'll see you there! For more information, log onto the Northern Boarders website.
